Right to Information

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Right to Information Act 2013 was passed by the provincial legislature with the objective to ensure the access of citizens to information in government departments and thus create a transparent and corruption free environment conducive to the growth of democracy i-e. Government of the people by the people and for the people. The basic purpose of the Right to Information Act is to empower the citizens, and promote transparency and accountability in the working of the Government, “Every citizen shall have to right to access information in all matters of public importance subject to regulations and reasonable restrictions imposed by the law.”
